Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Supplier Management and Planning is responsible for leading enterprise-wide Supplier performance strategy and program adherence, supplier feedback program management, and operational integrated business planning. This role ensures optimal Supplier performance, cost efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. The position drives strategic sourcing, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination to support scalable growth and risk mitigation.
Position Accountabilities:
Supplier Management
- Responsible for the development, execution and governance of the Checkers and Rally’s Supplier Management and Audit (commercial, FSQA, risk, etc.) program for new and active suppliers.
- Develop and execute supplier segmentation and strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and execute Supplier Onboarding program prior to contract execution or supply award.
- Develop and enforce that all key terms, metrics and KPIs will be included in all supplier agreements (Scorecard, SLAs, Indices, performance management).
- Train all internal Supply Chain, RSC functional teams and external suppliers on the Checkers and Rally’s Supplier Management program and expectations.
- Lead Supplier performance evaluation processes:
- Develop the structure for and execute the quarterly performance reviews and the annual strategy sessions
- Manage, maintain and report on Supplier scorecards and conduct regular performance reviews
Customer (System Stores and RSC Functional Areas) feedback program
- Develop, execute and train on feedback program and process
- Collection, RACI, corrective action, follow-up
- Training and adherence to program
- System selection to automate and provide a traceable/trackable system that provides reporting on accountability, root cause analysis, corrective action and resolution.

- System resolution (minimize repetitive issues)
- Data corrective action repository to develop systems approached to problem resolution
- Correlate Issue report to Supplier SLAs and Scorecards
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Develop, execute and oversee the demand, supply and sales and operational planning process.
- Set up, enforce and report on forecasting meetings (adherence, cadence, agenda and outcomes)
- Oversee resource allocation across departments
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Information Technologies, Human Resources and Supply Chain to align forecasts with budgetary goals
- Implement planning tools and methodologies to improve accuracy and agility
- Report on forecast accuracy and develop predictive forecasting approach
- Continuously assess evolving market dynamics to recalibrate Supplier partnerships and streamline supply chain operations for maximum efficiency and resilience
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Finance to ensure contract integrity and risk mitigation
- Lead cross-functional teams in Supplier-related initiatives and transformation projects
- Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
Process Optimization
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier governance and planning workflows
- Implement automation and analytics tools to manage performance, report accountability and streamline operations (Ex. issue resolution ticketing system, predictive forecasting solution, intelligent Supplier scorecard and performance mgmt. solution)
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor Supplier performance and effectiveness
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor planning outcomes and forecast accuracy
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide strategic direction and support to corporate cross functional Integrated business planning team and direct the Planning Manager.
- Set clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for direct reports
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to support career growth
Employment Standards
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- Preferred: Master’s in Business Administration
Experience:
- 10+ years in Supplier management, procurement, or planning with Supplier-side focus of supplier management
- 5+ years in Supply Chain leadership
- 5+ years in Executive Account Management and Customer-side focus of supplier management.
- Experience in program management, systems assessment and integration, forecasting, risk management, cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and Supplier management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP IBP, Coupa, PowerBI)

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent use of keyboard, mouse, and telephone
Travel & Site Visits:
- Travel to Tampa Headquarters on regular and on-demand basis
- Travel to restaurant locations, Supplier facilities, or corporate meetings
- Ability to walk through kitchens, storage areas, and Supplier warehouses
- May require standing or walking for extended periods during site inspections
