The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a key strategic partner to restaurant operations, responsible for providing HR support to operators in a field-based role. This position will focus on employee relations, investigations, performance management, and HR compliance while driving a strong people-first culture. The HRBP will work closely with restaurant leadership to support and develop teams, ensuring HR best practices align with business goals.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to operators, providing guidance on employee relations, investigations, and compliance-related matters.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee concerns, workplace disputes, and policy violations, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Coach and support restaurant leaders on performance management, corrective action, and employee development strategies.
- Travel extensively (up to 75%) within Florida and other states if required to restaurant locations, providing on-the-ground HR support and building strong relationships with operators and team members.
- Partner with operations leadership to drive a positive workplace culture, improve team engagement, and enhance retention.
- Support the rollout and execution of HR initiatives, including training programs, talent development, and workforce planning.
- Assist with workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development strategies.
- Act as a liaison between restaurant teams and corporate HR to ensure alignment of company-wide initiatives.
- Manages, documents and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Compiles, analyzes, and presents field related data to assist with implementing policies, programs, and procedures related to field employees, locations, and management.
- Identify and follow-through on any employee relations escalations as needed.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on field restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for field units and ensures that appropriate programs are implemented, followed, and managed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a field-based role supporting multi-unit restaurant operations.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, total rewards, and federal and state- respective employment laws.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources or related field preferred, or an equivalent of functional experience.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, investigations, and labor laws.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently, with a high level of autonomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
