About the Role

 

The Financial Analyst, Supply Chain provides financial, analytical, and operational support to the Supply Chain organization. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Finance, this position supports the financial planning and management of Checkers Distribution Service, Inc. (CDSI), commodity and product-cost forecasting, restaurant pricing, and other supply-chain activities.

 

This role is well suited for an early-career finance professional interested in developing experience in financial planning and analysis, supply-chain finance, restaurant economics, and data analytics. The Financial Analyst will work with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and other business partners to prepare accurate reporting, maintain financial models, research variances, and support informed business decisions.

 

Strong attention to detail, analytical curiosity, clear communication, and a willingness to learn are important for success in this role.

 

What You’ll Do (Core Impact Areas)

 

Financial Reporting and Planning

 

  • Prepare recurring financial and operational reports for CDSI and the Supply Chain organization.
  • Assist with monthly analysis of actual performance compared with budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Research financial variances and summarize key business drivers for review by Supply Chain Finance leadership.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts for CDSI and assigned supply-chain cost categories.

 

Restaurant and Supply-Chain Analysis

 

  • Support analysis of new products, limited-time offers, packaging changes, product substitutions, and product discontinuations.
  • Support weekly and monthly restaurant pricing processes to include preparation and distribution of approved pricing guides
  • Manage count forms, order guides, and recipe accuracy through RTI
  • Research pricing exceptions and communicate discrepancies to Supply Chain team members, distributors, suppliers, or other business partners through the weekly contract variance report
  • Manage the weekly freight invoicing process as well as invoice validation prior to remitting payment
  • Partner with Marketing to prepare food cost estimates for new and recurring menu items
  • Own the update of ArrowStream mapping for store closures and franchise transitions
  • Assist with new-item setup and product-transition activities across order guides, spend-management tools, and other applicable systems.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis as requested.

 

Data Management and Process Improvement

 

  • Build and maintain financial data sources used for CDSI and Supply Chain reporting.
  • Monitor data flow among RTI, ArrowStream, financial systems, distributor information, and other applicable data sources.
  • Perform routine data validation and reconcile information between systems.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, consistency, or efficiency of recurring reports and processes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, reporting procedures, assumptions, and methodologies.

 

What You Bring

 

Must-Haves (required):

  • Zero to two years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, data analytics, supply chain, procurement, or a related area
  • Relevant internship, cooperative education, or project experience may satisfy the experience requirement
  • Experience with Microsoft 365

 

Nice-To-Haves (preferred):

  • Restaurant, foodservice, retail, distribution, consumer-packaged-goods, or supply-chain experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience with ArrowStream, PowerBI, and SQL

Compensation & Benefits

 

Salary Range: $70k-$85k, with Bonus eligibility

Work Environment & Essential Physical Requirements

 

  • Location: Tampa, FL – Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Tues-Thurs), 2 days WFH (Mon+Fri)
  • Must live in the Tampa area and work from the Restaurant Support Center at least three days per week
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial, operational, and procedural information
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform work at a computer workstation
  • Ability to attend off-site meetings, training sessions, or business events as required
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds
