Franchise Business Consultant II

PURPOSE OF YOUR WORK:

As a member of the Franchise Operations team you will be, “Enriching People’s Lives Through Their Crazy Good Experience” by providing provides coaching, guidance and development advice to franchisees.

 

Through an exceptional leadership and coaching approach, the Franchise Business Consultant will support their franchisees by helping them improve their business and maximize their profit potential.  This business leader is responsible for establishing and maintaining franchisee relationships, while collectively working through the execution of ongoing business plans and initiatives.

 

HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERYDAY:  

  • Establishes a relationship with franchisees and/or operating partner to identify and maximize sales and profitability levers in their business.
  • Assists franchisees with developing annual business plans to drive sales, improve restaurant profitability and plan for capital investments
  • Leads quarterly business plan reviews with franchisees and operator(s) to measure progress and effectiveness of the annual plan
  • Works with, VP Franchise Operations to identify key priorities for Franchise Operations and establish annual targets
  • Achieves Franchisee royalty revenue target for area of responsibility and follows up on
  • Assists in the implementation of local and national marketing programs
  • Completes targeted number of restaurant/Franchise Partner visits and provides exemplary business consulting services to Franchise Partners to drive their success.
  •  Develops appropriate plans with franchisees to resolve unfavorable trends in sales, profits, food and paper variance and guest metrics 
  • Conducts operations interview for new franchise candidates
  • Establishes and manages relationships with franchisees, vendors and staff and serves as a liaison between franchisees, vendors and Company/RSC personnel
  • Ensures that franchisees operate within company standards and comply with the franchise agreements
  • Identifies any product or procedures that are not in compliance with Company standards, ensures corrective actions are taken and consults with franchisees to make recommendations to maintain safe working conditions and compliance to Operations procedures in the restaurant
  • Reviews guest metrics, leverages operating systems and helps identify areas that require improvement
  • Provides strategic operational support in the areas of service standards; product quality control; training; safety; sanitation and new restaurant openings
  • Reviews, audits and inspects food safety systems and administration and supports franchisees in resolving any issues/concerns
  • Health department inspections, Ecosure inspections, Steritech logs and other Protect the Brand initiatives
  • Reviews GO Evaluation results and ensure that action plans are completed to deliver continued improvement
  • Completes annual operational certification process
  • Educates franchise candidates on optimal operational structure based on growth goals
  • Supports Operational Growth Readiness assessments or CTE status
  • Less than 50% travel

 

YOU'VE GOT THIS?

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal clients (Inter-departmental contacts to Executive Team), franchisees and operators
  • In depth knowledge of operation principles including P&L, planning and budgeting, training and developing and staffing
  • Highly responsive with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to understand Franchise Agreements, produce internal documents, presentations, training sessions, collateral materials and field communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a brand champion 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university and/or work experience in similar position
  • Minimum of three years of franchise or multi-unit restaurant management and/or training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Food Safety certified
